On December 21st 2005 Lion Spiropoulos, together with her boss and other co-workers, helped to deliver toys to their clients children at the Department of Children and Families where she is an employee. This has been a tradition of the department throughout the years. Was a beautiful evening filled with HO HO HO.

Maribel was honored with this award in 2005.

Trailer Park in Homestead Florida
On Nov. 27, 2005 coordinated by Lion Alma Miron in Lionistic brotherhood with Miami Doral & Miami Buena Vista, we visited a Trailer Park in Homestead Florida.

The Zone was totally devastated by Wilma and the migrants workers lived in extreme poverty. The Clubs donated Clothes, Toys, Household Goods and non perishable food.

Thanksgiving celebrations at the Home for the Blind on November 21st /05. A luncheon, entertainment, music and raffles.

Given by Miami Buena Vista and "Humanity without Borders". A delightful day filled with fun for all the participants. The District 35-A Governor M. Echevarria attended the celebration.

 
The 10 chosen most dynamic women with founder and organizer of the event Dr. Wilma Tunon.

The American Cancer Society recognized Lion Maribel C. Spiropoulos as one of the ten most dynamic woman of the year 2005-2006 in a beautiful ceremony at J.W.Marriot hotel at Brickell Ave.

 

The event was attended by 600 guests on June 5th 2005 and began with cocktails followed by a luncheon and dance, together with a silent auction.

 

A commemorative poster was created for the event under the direction of Lion Giorgos Spiropoulos and the artist chosen was the renowned Cuban artist Gustavo Pascual.

CIRQUE DU LBA

The Latin Builders Association is having the party of the year at Vizcaya Palace, April 9th, 2005 a 3000 person event, dedicated to raise funds for different causes. The Buena Vista Art Gallery will be in attendance at this non-Lionistic event. President Maribel C.Spiropoulos curator and director of the Gallery is the Art Coordinator for the creation of the poster and for the art exhibition. The artist commissioned is Cuban Master Felix Gonzalez-Sanchez, who created the beautiful art work for the poster.

A cultural afternoon to promote the arts in all form in partnership with different city entities.

The club collect recycled beverage tabs to support various projects of the community. If you can collect at least half a gallon of tabs, please contact the President Maribel Spiropoulos on 305 271-2180, who can collect them from you.

 

This benefits the Jackson Memorial Medical Center and the Ronald McDonald House for the family of seriously ill children.

112 GALLONS of beverage tabs for the recycling program were delivered on October 11th 2004 to the Ronald McDonald House, "The House That Love Built" at Jackson Memorial Center, to benefit the "home away from home" for families of seriously ill children being treated there.
 
Coral Way Art Festival

Coral way art festival painting

Original oil painting by Cuban contemporary master Jose Chiu. His work of Art will represent the opening of the cultural event of the Coral Way Art Festival on Saturday 21 August 2004 and will take place on the third Saturday of every month. With art exhibitions (painters, ceramist, photos) writers, music, special guests, a live show and much more - everyone is invited to attend free of charge.

 

This project will enhance the beauty of the Great city of Miami and will promote the arts. This is a project of the International singer and composer Lita del Real together with the assistance of Commissioner Tomas Regalado, and the artistic coordination of Lions Giorgos and Maribel Spiropoulos.

 

During the celebration of the "Coral Way Art Festival" Cuban Master Jose Chiu sings posters of his art work, along with international singer Lita del Real for the invited guest during the cocktail party for the official presentation and promotion of the event.

Charityn Goyco Due to popular demand, the Coral Way Art Festival opened for the third time with great success. In this picture are the festival Director singer Lita del Real, the Art Coordinator Lion Maribel Spiropoulos and the month's celebrity, the well known Charityn Goyco.

 

The avenue of 'The Caballero de Paris', located on SW 8 St and 36 Ave. It was created to recognize the most vulnerable of our society - The Homeless.

 

In the picture is Maestro Gilberto Marino, the artist of "The Caballero", Esther de la Fuente

from Dade County and the social worker Maribel C. Spiropoulos who made the proposal to Miami Dade County on behalf of the artist. The three friends worked in partnership to make this dream come true.
